A skull can be many things, a hard-earned trophy, an emotionally charged keepsake, a talisman denoting lineage, or nought but a dusty bookend.
It is often a mistake to utter aloud the attributed significance of an object to others, lest it hasten their envious plots against you.
Is it not true that while that very skull has been held aloft by a thousand conquering heroes, it has also slipped earthbound from the lifeless grip of a thousand usurped subjugates?
So no, I will not strive to win their victory totem for I feel no urgency to share their inevitable fate!
